Installation Notes
Indoor air handler
- Indoor unit may be installed vertically or horizontally.
- Horizontal-left configuration requires no drain-pan modification.
- Horizontal-right configuration requires relocation of the drain pan.
- Allow at least 24 inches in front of the air handler for service access.
- When installed above a finished ceiling, place an emergency drain pan directly below the unit as required by local and state codes.
- Elevate the air handler on sturdy, non-porous material where it may become wet.
- Use a protective barrier where the air handler may be exposed to physical damage.
- Designed for a complete supply-and-return ductwork system.
Outdoor condenser
- Install the outdoor condenser at least 2 inches above the expected snow line.
- Follow the minimum clearance tables and installation manual for single-unit, side-by-side, row and stacked layouts.
- Final refrigerant charging, electrical work and commissioning must be completed in accordance with applicable codes and the current installation manual.
